Abstract

Imam Muhammad ibn Idris al-Shafi'i is one of the four great Imams. He was born in the year 150 Hijri and passed away in 204 Hijri. He is renowned as a religious scholar, a person of great virtue, and the author of numerous books. Among his teachers are Imam Malik, Imam Waqee' bin Jarrah, and among his students is Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal, among others. Many people have written about his virtues, merits, and his profound insights into jurisprudence. In the following lines, we will mention all those authors while considering the chronological order, who have written something about the virtues and merits of Imam Shafi'i.
