Abstract

The intersection of tradition and modernity continues to shape intellectual discourse in both religion and the humanities. This article explores how religion negotiates the preservation of tradition while engaging with modernity, and how the humanities, in turn, reinterpret tradition in light of contemporary realities. By analyzing philosophical, theological, and cultural perspectives, this paper highlights the necessity of a constructive dialogue that fosters mutual enrichment rather than conflict. The study emphasizes that tradition provides continuity and identity, while modernity contributes critical reflection and innovation. Ultimately, the dialogue between religion and the humanities demonstrates that both domains can coexist in a dynamic balance, enriching human knowledge and promoting ethical values in an era of globalization.
